So, who is ....

Shakalin Silver?

Shakalin Silver is a writer - born at an early age: the product of a Christian marriage between two human parents and is only just a ‘child of the sixties'.

Shakalin (or Sha) is a compulsive writer who is currently working on a series of fantasy fiction books. There's one older sister who’s marginally nicer to talk to than Sha is, though like the rest of her extremely dysfunctional family, they don't talk to each other. Perhaps one day, with a bit of luck, they’ll communicate without arguing again – with the help of a Oujja board!

During her formative years, Miss Silver soon developed the social skills of Attila the Hun and the compassionate and caring qualities of Vlad the Impaler. These were coupled with an unhealthy disrespect for the rest of her species, along with an almost laughable disregard for that great classical Greek joke “Democratic Civilisation”! By her twenties Shakalin had been diagnosed as an acute sufferer of the extremely painful condition, “Venomous Cynicism”!

Though only painful to others “Venomous Cynicism” is a difficult condition to live with and it has exacerbated Shakalin’s complicated lifestyle to the point where she has had to channel this condition into a career as a writer.

Miss Silver has since created a wonderful little world discovered in her debut novel 'The Unusual Suspects', populated with animal characters that others can identify with and laugh at as they set out on epic, and ridiculous quests!

Shakalin loves nothing more than making people smile. She finds her greatest inspiration when exploring the wilds of Devon, or entertaining others around her campfire, accompanied by her feline pal, Hengist.

You can now enjoy her wickedly humourous, and well-observed story for yourself as 'The Unusual Suspects' is now published - and can be purchased with one click, below:
